Hemroidal pain from internal hemroids is generally painless and occurs after passage of stool. An achiness or feeling of fullness after defecation may also be present. Pain is unusual unless thrombosis involving external tissue is present, and then the pain can be excruciating. The patient may even have trouble walking or sitting. Pain due to an anal fissure occurs during and after bowel movements, whereas pain associated with a thrombosed external Hemroid is constant.
